These draft terms describe the intended Loaf marketplace relationship and must receive legal review before they become the version accepted by customers.
Marketplace role
Loaf provides technology that helps buyers discover kitten listings, communicate with independent breeders, and manage marketplace payment and pickup milestones. Breeders are independent sellers and are responsible for their listings, representations, animals, and compliance with applicable law.
- Loaf Marketplace LLC is based in Georgia and operates the marketplace.
- Breeders own the kittens, set their prices, and sell directly to buyers. Loaf does not own, breed, take possession of, or ship the kittens.
- Loaf facilitates transactions through Stripe Connect and earns service fees. Its role includes payment requests, refund workflows, payout controls, and support.
- This description is not a determination of Loaf's legal classification or an exemption from applicable obligations.
Availability
The app is in private testing through TestFlight, not general public release. Launch jurisdictions and regulatory requirements remain under review; this website does not promise transaction availability in every U.S. state. See app availability.
Accounts and eligibility
Users must provide accurate information, protect access to their account, and use Loaf only for lawful marketplace activity. Loaf may restrict activity that threatens customers, animals, the platform, or payment integrity.
Listings and communications
Breeders must keep availability, pricing, health, parent, and pickup information accurate. Users may not use Loaf for misleading listings, harassment, fraud, prohibited sales, or attempts to evade platform protections.
Payments
Payment requests identify the amount, purpose, buyer service fee, and applicable terms before payment. Amounts are in U.S. dollars. Deposits are optional and are credited toward the kitten price to the extent they have not been refunded. Additional charges are itemized separately.
Stripe Connect is used for payment processing and breeder payouts. Buyers and breeders should review their respective charges before proceeding. Loaf does not represent that it provides legal escrow, insurance, or a guarantee of a successful purchase.
Pickup and fulfillment
Buyers and breeders agree the pickup location, date, and handoff details directly. Loaf does not provide shipping or delivery services. Buyers should confirm pickup only after receiving the kitten. Payment or pickup confirmation does not waive mandatory consumer rights.
Refunds and disputes
Review the refund and cancellation policy. Recorded terms and applicable law govern existing transactions; this draft does not retroactively replace them. Support review does not remove statutory remedies or the right to contact your card issuer.
For account, listing, payment, or purchase concerns, contact Loaf support. Our target is an initial response within two business days, not a guaranteed resolution time.
Changes and termination
Loaf may update these terms prospectively, suspend unsafe or abusive activity, and discontinue features. Material changes will be communicated as required before a new version is accepted.
